Insomnia Hiatus Update
Posted April 10, 2025 at 08:54 pm

Hey everyone, I have to take a step back for a little while.

If you've followed updates on my social media, you may have seen me mention my ongoing insomnia issues. It's an issue I've dealt with on and off for years now, almost always triggered by stress. Normally, I'm able to curb it within a week or two. But this last bout lasted almost 3 months. To put it mildly, it's been really really hard to deal with.

3 weeks ago, I hit my limit and drastically reduced my workload and cancelled a convention appearance. All of my independent projects went on hiatus. This included not only GODSLAVE pages, but also To Know a Witch (which I'd just finished inking Chapter 2 of) and IRON BARGE (which I'd just started laying out Book 2). This left 3 contract jobs I'd taken on in January to deal with some bills and pay off debt. If you're counting, that means instead of working on 6 projects, I'd only be working on 3. Surprising no one, it's around the time that I took on these jobs that the insomnia started.

In the last 3 weeks, I went to my parents and saw a family doctor. I've been prescribed a new medication that's helped me finally sleep with some consistency. I'm slowly trying to clear out my schedule to make room for independent work again, but it's going to take some time. Until then, GODSLAVE will continue to be on hiatus.

This isn't a decision I'm thrilled about. I genuinely was really excited about the upcoming scene for GODSLAVE, and love working on it. I hope this hiatus is short and I can return asap, but I can't give you a timeframe right now. Until then, I'd suggest following me through the links below or keep on eye on GODSLAVE through RSS to stay up to date.

Thank you for your patience and for supporting GODSLAVE. I hope to come back very soon.
